Vasanti Ultra Luxe Lipstick in Sweden ($15 Cdn) is described as a perfect nude-pink and I agree, it is a pretty perfect nude-pink. Despite being a pale shade, it covers my pigmented lips with full perfection. I love how glossy, creamy and pigmented it is…

But most of all, I love how the shade looks against my tan skin. It is not ashy and neither does it get lost against my skin tone. This is the selling point of this lipstick. Vasanti sure does know how to make lighter colours work for darker skin tones. I have tried a couple more such shades from Vasanti, and I love them all dearly.

Formula, again, is agreeable. It is great if you have healthy lips, but rather unfriendly if your lips are not in the best shape possible. Wear time is also average. So just keep that in mind…

Overall thoughts: I love this lipstick and highly recommend this shade in particular. It can be worn anywhere, anytime. Despite being a light lipstick, it does not get lost against darker skin tones, now isn’t that something to gush about?

Overall rating: B+

The Body Shop Chocomania Body Scrub ($18 Cdn) is just special. I just love this product. I was honestly not planning to do a separate review on this one because I had already featured the entire collection here. I loved the entire collection with all my heart and unsatisfied taste buds, but this one became extra special to me. The honest truth is, I have used up three quarters of this one and I plan to get another one of these, just for the back-up.

Now about the product, it is a very gentle exfoliator and for that reason, I feel comfortable using it every other day. The granules are extremely small, so the scrub ends being quite tender. It removes dead skin cells and leaves a slight protective film of moisture. The smell is just so delicious, it makes me want to eat this bloody thing. Too bad, there is a big arse warning sign insisting it is not edible! WTH!

I do not like the packaging, however; it is very uncomfortable to use. That is the only flaw of this product, according to me. Otherwise it makes an excellent shower indulgence and gives great skin to boot.

PS: Right now TBS is having buy one, get one 50% off, buy two, get one free and buy three get two free. That only means you should get something, right – I highly recommend buying this babe before it disappears off shelves.

Overall thoughts: This scrub is total love. Enough said.

Overall rating: B+ (only because the packaging is a bit of a downer!)

Disclosure: Sample product sent by PR for consideration only.

OMG, it has been centuries since my last blog post, I know. Trust me, I had my reasons which are as boring as midterms, exhaustion and getting sick from midterm related exhaustion. Exciting much? But that’s just my life, you see! To get back on the blogging track, I have a real firecracker up for you guys and its called MAC Lady Danger Lipstick. A vivid bright coral red, this one is not for the wimps.

Now, MAC Lady Danger is what it is; a badass! If she was a woman, I could see her wearing a black leather jacked, black skinny jeans and riding away on a motorcycle with her little piece of the moment. I mean just take a look at her…

As a lipstick, since it is a matte finish from MAC, so obviously it is highly pigmented. It is not drying per se, but not moisturizing at all at the same time. Get it? It is long lasting, but since I am not the greatest tester of a lipstick’s longevity, but I would say it is pretty long lasting on on you non lip licking folks. The only grime is that when it does start to fade, it settles into the lip lines and also since I have a pretty small mouth and the formula being so rich and creamy, it feathers a hell lot! But I still love the lipstick mainly because it is one.badass.red. Who wants to be shy when wearing red? Not me! Bring on the drama, the flair and attention whoring!

Overall: I do think it is a must have lipstick shade from MAC. The colour should flatter almost everyone. Not everyone can afford this hot bitch though, you must have some confidence to spend while wearing this

Overall Rating: A-

PS: Sorry about the sailor mouthing, I got a little carried away

Lancome Color Fever Gloss in Green Petal ($31 Cdn) is a sheer, soft green lip gloss from the Roseraie Des Delices (Spring 2012) Collection, out now. Now, I know the combination of green and lip gloss is hard to digest, but looks like Lancome is out to change our perceptions.

You must be thinking, green lipgloss, you gotta be kidding me right? Well, turns out it is quite beautiful. The thing is, it is very much a green gloss but really, really sheer. So much so, that you only see pure shine on your lips when you put it on. Yes, so you may be disappointed if you wanted some green fireworks. It is subtle, pretty and shiny. I really like the formula of this particular gloss, it is shiny, moisturizing, long lasting (2+ hours on me*, holy batman this gloss is a champ!). It feels super comfortable on the lips and has a slight cooling, sweet taste to it. Lancome’s doe foot applicator on the gloss is just love – I haven’t felt a better applicator on my lips, really!

Wearing Lancome Cover Fever Gloss in Green Petal

Overall thoughts: It is sheer, so don’t expect fireworks which are green in colour on your lips. If you are OK with that, then this gloss is worth looking into. It is long lasting, moisturizing and shiny; has all the ingredients for a perfect everyday gloss.

Overall Rating: B+

*No lip product lasts more than four hours on me, hence, the excitement.

I remember when I was in high school, I just couldn’t wait to be an adult. Well, we have all been there. Now, however, I wish I was still a kid, but that’s another story. Well back to why I couldn’t wait to turn the big 1-8 was because I was so sick of hanging at the mall. You remember how all the kids from school would magically spend their Friday evening at the mall just window shopping? LOL! But yeah, I thought when I was legal, I could just tell my friends – let’s just meet for drinks. It somehow just wouldn’t sound legit if a 17 year old who looked like a 14 year old said it. Well turns out, I still get ID’d at pubs and bars, so I still don’t have much on my case. But yes, so this is one of my favorite nail polishes ever (focus on the ever)!

I know the colour is not bang on with spring, but I am so hopelessly in love with it. Just look at it, how can you not love it? I promise to do a spring related nail post soon, but just love this one with me for a second, will you? The perfect mix of eggplant, magenta and a bit of red; it is so scrumptious, no? I bought this one a few years ago, actually and it is still going strong. It hasn’t dried out so much, but one thing I don’t like about OPI nail polishes is that they chip easy on me. Otherwise, I don’t have much to complain about. But did I mention how much I love this colour, again?

So here it is, OPI for Sephora Meet For Drinks Nail Polish, one of my favorite nail polishes ever. I have been bit of a polish fiend lately, do tell me which polish tickles your fancy. XO

MAC Retrospeck Eyeshadow ($18/$14 Cdn for refill) is as a “beached blonde” eyeshadow in a lustre finish. It is the perfect highlight eyeshadow for a dark, intense smokey eye. I like to pair it with darker shades such as MAC Knight Divine, MAC Print, just to name a few. It is not your everyday highlight/all over lid colour, you would only want to use it for a night time’s look. Well, but that’s just me, you can do whatever floats your boat There is fall out, so the texture is not perfect. Also, since it is more or less a highlight shade, the pigmentation is sheer. Having said that, I still do like it a lot as a highlight shade, the effect it has is that of a metallic sheen.

Overall thoughts: It is a nice highlight shade which ends up in a metallic sheen. Not a must have, by any means; falls in the “nice to have” category.

Overall Rating: B-

Lovely readers, everyone just keep saying why am I so cute? Also, the bull dog two houses away always try to sniff my butt (I don’t allow, FYI). My main human always asking me, “Why are you so cute?” The first answer which comes to mind is, duh, born this way! But, actually, I feel this may have something to do with my lifestyle. I though I’d share my gorgeous secrets with you, only because the main human tells me I have fans and that I am popular around here…

I know this is a make-up blog & all, I tell you what? I don’t wear make-up. I do watch the human closely though and all the funny shit she does with the gazillion products she uses. I wonder why? She looks the same after. My theory is that products are for actual use, not to sit there looking adorable on her vanity, ya know? For example, really use the products. When I was teething, I would chew on the main human’s brushes. Also, since I think EVERYTHING is edible, especially the things that go near main human’s mouth. Seriously, I thought that Lush Bubble Gum Scrub thing was to be eaten, but darn, the main human, she closed the lid too tightly. Oh well, there is always another time…I shall never give up on that one!

Self acceptance is a must, don’t just follow the crowd. This I got from my momma, who probably got that from her momma, who got it from…you get the point, yeah? I know I am a girl, but I got a moustache thing happening. Whatever, its natural and its there for a reason, right? I don’t let the Canine Vogue tell me otherwise.

BUT grooming is also important. I hate getting my nails done (I am just so scared of the nail cutter) but when the main human asks me if I’d like to have a manicure on Skype, I always nod yes. I mean, a girl’s gotta have her some nice paws, no? I can’t wait to have the main human back home so that she can do my nails. And no, I won’t throw a fit when I see that nail cutter again – beauty is pain and I’ll deal with that…

Eat lots & play hard. I don’t diet, I eat lots of cheese, dog biscuits, treats – basically anything that is unhealthy – but I am still not bootylicious. Hey, Beyonce, I got nothing on you, but I prefer a small booty. For that I play hard. I mean exercise is so important me – a day without playing fetch is a pretty crappy day…Here I am playing with my favorite toy, it burns a lot of calories, actually.

Please leave lovely comments for me, telling me how cute I am. I love flattery. XOXO!

Zoya Remove + polish remover ($13 Cdn) is the best nail polish remover I have tried. I love this one, no secrets about it. Why I love it so much? Simple, it makes the process of removing glitter nail polish way less of a hassle. In fact, makes it quite easy.

If you have never worn glitter polish and wonder how it possibly could be so hard to remove, well then think about life before sliced bread; you could live without it, no doubt, but doesn’t sliced bread make your life infinitely better? You spend less time cutting bread and more time making sandwiches, right? Right!

This is exactly why I love this nail polish remover, I spend less time fighting the stubborn glitter polishes and more time painting my nails Before Zoya Remove +, I would love glitter polishes, no doubt, but also be intimidated by them. Sure, they are pretty, but if you have had the pleasure (read: not) of removing a glitter polish by a regular polish remover, you would know what I am talking about. With this one, I just have to hold the cotton pad against my nails for a few seconds before glitter polish completely comes off. No pain, no irritation, no polish. Yay!

I also love the packaging there is a lock which prevents any leaks and to use you just unlock and press the cotton pad against the opening. I also love how it is purple, so easy on the eyes! The only issue would be that it is more than twice the price of a regular nail polish remover and that is kind of hard to digest. Well, honestly, I do not mind. Think about it, you can get a lipstick for as little as $5, but you still lust after a Guerlain one which costs 8 times that. And for good reasons, it has quality. The case is no different here because like I said, quality costs money.

Canadians, I understand, Zoya is hard to trace. It does sell at selected salons around you though, but it is hard to find, especially if you live in a small town. I suggest www.nailpolishcanada.com for this one and other hard to buy nail polishes. Please note, however, I am not affiliated with Nail Polish Canada, they don’t even know that I exist. But I thought it is worth a mention because they sell amazing brands such as Zoya, China Glaze and the very hard to trace Spa Ritual.

Overall thoughts: If you love glitter polish and have a hard time removing it from your nails, Zoya Remove + is a must. Worth every cent of $13 you pay for it, mark my words.

Overall Rating: A+

If I had a dollar for every time I had unnecessarily applied this hand cream just for the sake of its scent, well, I’d be pretty rich. Also, no judgements, the fragrance is so appetizing that after applying, I’d try to eat my hand; it smells just so nom. So, Cake Beauty It’s a slice velveteen hand cream ($18 Cdn) is a popular item from my stash; I use it almost everyday. It is moisturizing, non sticky and smells delicious – like a mango/orange cake.

It is moisturizing but not overly so. If you live somewhere really dry, like in the prairies, then I am afraid you will need reapplications frequently. I live in a humid area, so it is pretty much perfect for me. The texture of the cream is kind of thin, a bit lotion like. It takes a bit of time to get absorbed into the skin, too. I love the packaging, it is the perfect handbag companion; absolutely no question of leaks. The USP, of course, is the yummy fragrance. But I have to warn the sensitive noses, it is a strong one. The only drawback is that, it is not edible…

Overall thoughts: I love this hand cream and if you like yourself some nom scents, I am sure you will like it too. I do wish the scent was a bit milder, though. Overall, I am quite pleased with this one. I would definitely purchase another Cake Beauty hand cream in the future, but most likely one with a different scent, just for the variety’s sake!

Overall rating: A-

Disclosure: I got this hand cream from Topbox, which was sent to me by its PR for consideration. I did not purchase the product reviewed.
