The blog| I started to write this blog during the Christmas break of 2009. It was cold outside, probably one of my hometown’s many icy cold spells and I had bought a few things on Boxing day that I wanted to talk about. Believe it or not, I had no idea that beauty blogging was such a big enigma that it really is. Before blogging, I had a total of 2 lipsticks, 6 lip glosses, 1 foundation – you get the point. Since writing the blog, my stash has grown exponentially and I have to admit, I have enjoyed every bit of that part. The very first review I wrote, I believe, was that of an eye cream, I thought I had enough to say about after a week of usage (yes, get that?). Suffice to say, after enough sense of how to review things, I took that darn thing off; it turned out I felt quite opposite to what I wrote. After at least two years of testing hundreds of products (yes, that many), I believe (and hope) that now,  I do know what I am talking about. I write this blog in hopes that you first and foremost; read it! I also hope that you enjoy reading it, make a list of what you see and like (or not like) and well, buy (or don’t buy). In short, I am here to help you. As of 2011-12, I am a student, so that is really my priority (or that is what I like to tell myself and others). I treat this blog as a flexible, part-time job and allocate 15-25 hours per week for this, but in reality, it sums up being more than that. If you have any questions, I am only an email away. • What is your foundation shade? Basically I’m a medium-dark’ish with peach & olive undertones {MAC: NC 35 (winters) & NC 40 (summers), NARS Sheer Glow: Barcelona, MUFE HD foundation in 153}
• The prices you list are not accurate! Well, they are! I am a Canadian beauty blogger, the prices I list are the selling price of the product in Canada, in Canadian Dollars. Sometimes, they are listed in US Dollars, but I always specify if that is the case.
• What is your dog’s breed? Her dad is a Japanese Chin, mom is a Bichon Shih Tzu mix.
• Can I guest blog? Generally, this blog does not accept guest blog posts, unless they are review posts or makeup looks. We do not accept generic beauty articles. Readers are more than welcome to submit articles granted they match up the quality of the blog in terms of writing and pictures. We do not compensate monetarily for such submissions because we consider those to be a voluntary submission from your part.
