Illamasqua Peaked Velvet Blusher ($26 CAN)
What is a “velvet blusher” – I don’t know a creamy, smooth blush, maybe? It is technically supposed to be a powder/cream hybrid, but I find it to be mostly a luscious cream blush with a not so dewy finish. Its texture is more or less cream initially and upon application too, but it soon adjusts to be stiffer on your skin, but gives enough flexibility to blend. The blush is easy to work with, lasts a good 5-6 hours on me and leaves a bit of flush at the end of the day.
The colour is described as a “dusky rose” and I would say that it is quite an apt description. It is dark enough to show up on deep tans, but I imagine it will be stunning on fair skin. The pigmentation is a bit much too much, so I’d be a little careful while dabbling it on. For someone like me who has a very small, round face, it is quite difficult to work on in a hurry. But if you are careful, it can result in a beautiful complexion.
