Scorpio Inspired Makeup

Lately, if you hand’t already noticed, blogging became less exciting for me. This and the fact that I am busy ( lame excuse: aren’t we all?) resulted in fewer and fewer blog posts this past year. Well, to break the jinx, I wanted to do an astrology based series. I have always been interested in astrology, but not your generic tropical western astrology which ends up being an entertaining read in the back of your magazine, but vedic astrology, which is a science in itself. Now, before I start to sound too off to some of you, I’ll turn back around to what I love best, which is makeup! We are going through November, which means a lot of Scorpios are celebrating their birthdays, so this month belongs to the mysterious, edgy and sexy Scorpios.

Scorpio is ruled by the fiery planet Mars & the reclusive Ketu. Scorpios are (supposed to be) mysterious, determined and sly. And this should show in the makeup, too. Nothing is more mysterious than a dark smokey eye. I used the tape method in the corners to get the edgy, sexy look. And yes, since Mars is involved, we can’t forget the colour red – a matte red lip was a must, therefore. Not just any matte red lip, but one with a certain allure, a certain je ne sais quoi about it; sexy but not desperate for attention.

Can’t wait to see more of these. I’ve only ever done one for Pisces.

With Winter and Christmas fast approaching, I understand why you would feel tired and bored of blogging. Blogging should be fun for yourself. Never feel like you need to, have to, blog for other people. The horoscope series sounds interesting and fun, I’m looking forward to your interpretations! Take care.
