Fizz is the sheerest of the reds, more of an everyday shade than a “power lip”. Sheer and sparkling, the finish is more comparable to MAC’s frost formula. The glitter is noticeable but pretty inoffensive – just adds to the sheer red base. An extremely effortless shade to wear and feels easy peasy lemon squeezy on the lips.
Monroe is a vintage orange-red, aptly suited to its namesake. The colour is more complex than your average “vintage red”, however; it has a golden sheen to it. Despite being super pigmented and rather long wearing, it feels super easy on the lips. I wouldn’t however call it moisturizing, just comfortable.
Red Carpet is probably the most honest, truest red in the range. Neither too pink, nor too orange, it walks the middle line like a Buddhist monk would! It is wonderfully pigmented and though, not the most unique shade in the range, it is just that classic red that every girl needs!
Flirtini is that pink-maroon hybrid that is so in vogue right now! Think MAC Beet Pencil, NARS Transeurope Express Lipstick, Illamasqua Magnetism Lipstick. This is a shade that is hard to dupe in drugstore, so we should all thank Annabelle for bringing it in one near you! This is probably my favorite out of the whole range, not just the red’s. I highly recommend!
Cherry is one of the longest lasting champs out of this range. In my perfect world it would glide like Monroe; a girl can dream, right? It is just that winter red that says, in your face, snow & -30 degree Celsius, you may be making me feel cold, but I am hot, alright? A perfect sexy red lip.
Vamp is actually one of the few shades that don’t agree with me and I only speak for myself. It is too goth-chic and well, vampy! It leans a little too brown for my liking, but it is a very unique shade in its own right. If you have been wanting to get on with the grunge, goth trend, it will make a wonderful purchase, but if you don’t care too much for the trend and are around or darker than my skin tone, I’d skip! This should, however, suit most light/cool skin tones.
My must haves: Flirtini, Monroe & Cherry.
I’d skip: None of these shades can be classified as even a mild disappointment, but if I had to pick, it would be Vamp for me, personally.
