Forest Essential Ubtan in Roop Nikhar Gulab

The reason I was missing from the blog was because I was vacationing in India. I know I said I would be back to blogging full time, but I was so busy stuffing my face and shopping that I forgot about the blog and my track record in the past few months has not exactly been stellar. Anyhow, I brought back plenty of products from India, which I am very excited to talk about. The best discovery has been that of Forest Essentials, it is a semi-luxurious, ayurvedic brand which has me singing a song for it. The line is pretty unique from a western point of view and having quality to back up your uniqueness never hurts, right? Here I have Roop Nikhar Gulab Ubtan, which is basically a dried face mask to be mixed up with yogurt or rose water. But what does the name mean?

Roop = Beauty

Nikhar = Enhance/ing

Gulab = Rose

What I like about it is that first and foremost, it is all natural. Natural never hurts for your skin, now does it? And it smells so divine, it’s like you’re smelling a bouquet of roses when it sits on your skin. But does it give you a porcelain glow? I think it did a little more than that, it cleansed and refreshed my skin, it was like I got a mini facial. The lentils and orange peel enables you to scrub your skin as you wash it off. The glow wasn’t drastic, but it was a nice, believable glow.

A little goes a long way, and it comes at a very reasonable price of ₹650, which comes down to $12 Cdn and I can reliably say that it will last me the six months it is good for. Forest Essentials delivers worldwide through their website, www.forestessentialsindia.com . (not an affiliate link)  I can’t wait to try some more of Forest Essentials, it is a fab find, for sure!
