Diane Lai Soothe Spot Treatment is fantastic for anyone who suffers from unpalatably dry, bleeding, hurt skin and I speak from experience. This feature is more or less a personal testimonial and not a review as with all skin care products I feature. Just recently, I developed a condition which is pretty unique to me of dry, bleeding lips. That is the sole reason for me not posting anything lately – it had ruined the look of my entire face, really. I was so close to just giving up and planning a visit to the doctor until I discovered this one sitting in my stash, somewhere.

I applied the spot treatment on the skin near my bleeding lip and within a week of use, it is now completely normal. I receive a lot of skin care product samples to test and most of the time, it is hard for me to accommodate a feature for them because let’s face it, unless something really is spectacular, they all feel the same on me due to my fairly normal skin type. So when I do feature something, it is because it is indeed worth it. And trust me, this one is fantastic for people who develop dry patches of skin or have a certain condition like eczema. My mother, who suffers from eczema found so much relief through this. Moreover, it is a natural product free of parabens, sulfates, petro chemicals and other harmful ingredients.

Diane Lai products are available online through their website.

Aw, sorry you had to go through that Shivani! Definitely does not sound fun. I’m glad you found some relief though–this product sounds great! I love how the ingredients list reads–definitely great components for sensitive, irritated, dry skin. I’ll keep this in mind if I ever have a major skin freak-out (I just hope it doesn’t break me out!)

So sorry to hear about your lips, but, really glad to hear you found something that alleviated it.

I suffer from eczema on my legs – it was triggered off about 9 years ago from some sensitivity my skin has to waxing and shaving. It’s a lot better these days (mostly gone lately) but I have to be very careful with the kind of shower creme and body moisturizer I use. I use a combination of apple cider vinegar rinses, Weleda’s Skin Food creme, Weleda’s Pomegranate Body Oil, and E45 moisturizing lotion/cream. E45 is only available in the UK I believe, so I usually buy a few jars each trip. I’ve also stopped shaving and use hair removal creams when I want to wear skirts/shorts/pegged pants.

I’m so sorry your eczema is so extreme! For me it popped up out of nowhere and it was just so painful to deal with it all. I have another tip – I used ghee all over my face at night – that helped a whole lot too. I am making a shift towards natural products from now on. Hate having sensitive skin sometimes.

It’s okay :) Completely agree with your shift to natural products. Sensitive skin is not fun. Most doctors prescribe steroid creams but even though they do help temporarily, my skin gets so thin afterwards. I’ve stopped using steroid creams and hope to heal my leg naturally. To be honest, I’ve cured one leg, and I have the other leg to cure. Everyday the area is less and less (the diameter and the itchiness) and I am really hoping for it to be completely gone soon.

Did you have a stressful time recently? Eczema flares up due to stress or allergy as far as I know. I think my eczema is caused by stress and allergy to certain ingredients in shower gels or the shaving blade. I have to try the ghee option. It’s so cute to imagine you slathering ghee on your face :) My best friend is apple cider vinegar, really helps balance my skin.
