There should be no doubt in your mind that pastels are so in right now. One clue when something is “in” is when you see it getting adopted by a group other than its cliched user. I was dead sure pastels were going to be in as soon as I spotted these lovely shades on more than just…babies? Yeah, Ok! Here I have there beautiful, spring-y pastel eyeshadows from Make Up For Ever – 25, 57 & 118. ($23 Cdn)
The quality of these eyeshadows is stupendous – I really have nothing bad to say about these. These are soft, blend like a dream and stay on phenomenally (with a primer). Such colours more often than not look chalky and forced on my skin-tone. While, yes, they are quite far from natural looking eyeshadows, they do not look forced – instead look very soft and pleasing. I really adore Make Up For Ever’s eyeshadows, I find them to be among the best, honestly. Bonus point: some of these double as blushes and hence double their value. N 57 is a soft, pastel lime green and N 118 is a beautiful powder blue, both make a gorgeous recipe for a pastel eye look. My favorite, however, is N 25 – a very happy, soft coral which not only does a great job as an eyeshadow, but takes the cake as a blush. I am in product multi task heaven!
Overall thoughts: Make Up For Ever makes some of the best eyeshadows in the market. These pastel shades are not an exception to this rule. Superb quality!
