It may be hard to believe, but yes, I am still around! It has been a while since I last spoke about my skin-care – in fact, I never really have in detail. I recently made some changes to my routine, replaced a few items, and added a new item in.
First up is the Origins GinZing Eye Cream – my previous hit in Vasanti Eye Wonder just was not doing it for me any more. I had prevalent dark circles all over again – not fun! So, I decided to mix it up with this one. I have been using this for about two weeks or so now, and its been so far so good! I will post a review when I am ready to review it, I like to take my time with skin care reviews and from what you have seen so far, I only do it when the product is worth an actual review.
Ok, so this is going to sound funny. I was at my new favourite eat out, The Noodle Box, ordering my favourite Singapore Cashew Curry with tofu and rice, no fish oil, and medium hot and a guy came up and started talking to me. He wasn’t exactly a kid, I mean he looked pretty mature to me, and then I asked him what he does. He said he is a student at UBC, and I said so am I. And then he said, hold your breath, “Oh, you must be a grad student!” Nothing offensive, but it struck me, oh shit, I am starting to look my age! Just this past summer, I was being mistaken for an undergrad student, which I obviously wasn’t and someone at the bookstore just asked me if I was over the age of 19 and then, this thing happens, LOL! So, SOS, I did my research and looked up all the preventative age measures there are! My choice came down to Lancôme Génifique!
My mom is a big fan of Lancôme’s skin care and her skin is pretty darn good, so it was only a natural choice for me to lean this way. I snagged a small sample from my own stash (LOL, that’s how big it is) and started to use it. Within a week of use, my skin was brighter and glowing, so it only made sense I bought a big bottle! I do have a few sun spots of hyper-pigmentation which I get from never wearing SPF, but now, I never leave the house without sunscreen on! So girls, take care of your skin, you will have it for the rest of your life!!
