Nothing ruins a perfect day more than rains, but sometimes rains just bring their wet, moist imperfection to spring just blend in. I am obsessed with weather, just as any other Canadian is, really! The first thing I check on my iphone after clicking the snooze button for the millionth time is the weather. Since moving to Vancouver it has been constant – rain or slight overcast. My hometown is notorious, though – you can witness four seasons in one day – it’s always changing. Anyways, the FOTD ends here, but a vent continues!
These past days, I have been subjected to rudeness all over the place. Two such instances have taken place in the past week and I am sitting here wondering if people have forgotten to practice some restrain in their lives? People who barely know me, or don’t know me at all have such rigid, false perceptions which they think are actually true. Other people’s opinions are none of my business – I do not live my life for others. The problem arises when people mistake your niceness for something weak and plaster their worthless, mean opinions in your face. When I was younger, I would let it go and avoid that person at all costs. That was such a wrong thing to do because then the person thinks they have some sort of power over you and they can continue with their ridiculous antics and get away with it. Such behaviour should not be excused. Confront them, ask them why they said those things and the reasoning behind it. Why should you let someone ruin your day and get away with it? If you lose some “friends” along the way, then really, who cares?
