Stila Convertible Color in Gladiola ($33 Cdn) is my orange dream come true! I can’t get enough orange these days and this is my fix. Pantone (the big boss of colours) has declared tangerine tango, which is just fancy for orange to be the colour of the year, so I am thinking it’s not just me who is orange obsessed these days.
Now, coming back to the product, I have to say it is one of the best cream blushes I have tried so far. Sure, it is all scary pigmented in the pan, which can give you scary halloween doll cheeks in 1, 2, 3 – but it ends up in the perfect flush. It is creamy, but applies in a thin, gel like layer. The blush stays on the entire day, Rating as a blush: A
I don’t however, like this product for lips. It goes all dry and patchy on the lips. Rating as a lip product: C
The packaging is super cute, but a breeding ground for bacteria – but that’s the case with all cream products packaged like so.
Overall thoughts: Stila Convertible Color in Gladiola is a fabulous blush, but the same cannot be said about it as a lip product. Must for a cream blush fiend though, the blush is indeed all sorts of fantastic and the most perfect orange for cheeks.
