Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Brown Sugar ($8.99 Cdn) is a warm, bronzy nude brown. I really, really like this particular lipstick because it makes the perfect nude for me. Nudes carry the baggage of making you all corpse like, but no, not this one – not at all!
It is a perfect natural nude for medium skin tones, which does not wash the skin down. Also, thanks to a slight golden sheen to it, it just warms up the entire face. As for the texture, it feels very moisturizing on the lips, living up to its “butter-y” claims. It applies in an even layer, without feeling extremely gooey, but it is very soft. On me this colour lasts 2-3 hours, which is not amazing, but not bad considering the nature of these lipsticks. I am, however, not a fan of the packaging of these lipsticks. They feel soo cheap. Yeah, at the price they sell at, they are pretty affordable, but they don’t necessarily have to look the part, non?
Overall thoughts: I love this particular lipstick! The colour is the most perfect nude on me. I am a big fan of its comfortable and moisturizing wear, too. I only wished the packaging was less – I don’t know how to put this, but – trashy-fab?
