Lancome Color Fever Gloss in Green Petal ($31 Cdn) is a sheer, soft green lip gloss from the Roseraie Des Delices (Spring 2012) Collection, out now. Now, I know the combination of green and lip gloss is hard to digest, but looks like Lancome is out to change our perceptions.
You must be thinking, green lipgloss, you gotta be kidding me right? Well, turns out it is quite beautiful. The thing is, it is very much a green gloss but really, really sheer. So much so, that you only see pure shine on your lips when you put it on. Yes, so you may be disappointed if you wanted some green fireworks. It is subtle, pretty and shiny. I really like the formula of this particular gloss, it is shiny, moisturizing, long lasting (2+ hours on me*, holy batman this gloss is a champ!). It feels super comfortable on the lips and has a slight cooling, sweet taste to it. Lancome’s doe foot applicator on the gloss is just love – I haven’t felt a better applicator on my lips, really!
Overall thoughts: It is sheer, so don’t expect fireworks which are green in colour on your lips. If you are OK with that, then this gloss is worth looking into. It is long lasting, moisturizing and shiny; has all the ingredients for a perfect everyday gloss.

*No lip product lasts more than four hours on me, hence, the excitement.

Does the green tint do something special to the lips? I couldn’t have guessed it was green in the tube if I hadn’t seen it.

I loved this gloss and the entire range per se..not launched in India but when they launch I might pick up the eyeshadow quad as it looks so tempting…

Do get the eyeshadow quad, its lovely. I had low expectations from it, but it translated very beautifully on the lids – and didn’t look tacky at all – so I guess I do love it! It will be great for editorial work.
I have been busy lol but I go home day after tomorrow for a week – it should be fun. Will get to hang out with my dog and just relax and catch up on blog posts

Btw i have had a similar mint colored gloss which translated nude on lips but I oomphed it up with a bit of cool beige lipstick underneath and it went flawless…have u tried that?

This is really the only one I like from the lip collection. The other colors were too milky on me, but this one turned out really pretty. I love the little flashes of green sparkles on my lips! The thing is that the smell reminds me of something I’ve smelled before and I can’t wrap my brain around it, it’s driving me insane!
I don’t know I think it is like a sweet sage or something…its very cooling and sweet at the same time, right?

the gloss is looking beautiful in tube but on lips i could hardly see any green as you said … but you must try the tip Neeraj said am sure it will work that way …. i so want highlighter you reviewed …..
if they are not going to launch this collection in India i will ask somebody to get it for me from other part of the world

At first, the green set off alarms. Then, your pictures showed its not bold. As far as this color goes, sutble was the best approach.
