MAC Humid Eyeshadow ($18/$14 for refill) is described as an intense green with shimmer with a frost finish. It is one of the best greens for fall/winter, in my opinion. It is not your average attention grabbing green, unless you use it as an all over lid color, in which case it is. I use it to intensify my crease in most cases; it makes the perfect ingredient for a green smokey eye. Even though it is dark, it is muted; there is some “dirty-ness” to it and hence qualifies to be a non-attention-seeker. It also depends how you use it. Now, it is not the most pigmented, buttery smooth eyeshadow but it is also by no means chalky or hard to work with. The somewhat stiffness works in its favor because it is a deeper shade and yes, it is not powdery, has no fall-out and stays on for a decent amount of time (with primer, of course). It is not my favorite green, but I still like it lots. This one is not for the ones starting out with make-up, you would need some experience with make-up to truly appreciate this one.

Even though I wear a lot of bright coloured eyeshadows these days, I was very skeptical when I first bought Humid (more than a year ago) as it was my first real “colour” eyeshadow. Previously I’d only used variations of golds and browns. I was recommended Humid and Greensmoke but I couldn’t make them work properly together. A few months later I found some guts to wear Humid in the outer crease with Romp and lined with Tarnish :) It looked better than I expected.
