theBalm Homecoming Queen Stainiac Lipstain ($20 Cdn) is a “sheer soft peach” stain according to theBalm. On me however, it is a subtle tangerine shade of stain. I swatched it in Rexall one random day and I left without buying it. When I went back home, I couldn’t stop thinking of it. It looked sooo beautiful against my brown skin; it is as if they belonged together.

{Thoughts on the formula} It is a water/gel based formula. It feels extremely watery but settles as a gel stain. It has a bitter sweet taste to it, which is neither pleasant nor outright unpleasant. It takes its own sweet time to dry, but once it does, it stays. On me it lasts about 3 hours as it is, then fades into a softer shade of orange. If you lick your lips a lot, it will disappear quicker than average.

{Thoughts on the color} It is by far the most wearable orange lip thing I have tried. If you have warm undertones, you will love this, take my word for it. It is the perfect color to wear in your down time. Total love.

{Overall thoughts} This does have my seal of approval, given you don’t mind the rather sweetly obnoxious taste it has to itself. There are two more colors; a red and a berry shade. I want to get the red one soon. theBalm is one of my favorite brands and I have loved everything I have tried.

I think this shade probably isn’t right for my skin tone, but I am most turned off by your description of its smell. I don’t like scented/flavored lip products πŸ˜› It does look very natural and glossy and pretty on you, though! πŸ˜€
