Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser ($24.50 US for 100 ml) is quite a unique cleanser. It is a balm like cleanser, which claims to remove make-up and polish, all in one. It claims to remove “all traces of face and eye make up, even stubborn mascara”. And then the part two includes polishing off the skin with the help of a muslin cloth (it comes with two), which takes off “dead skin cells and help reveal clean, soft and radiant skin”.
What I think of it? I really like this cleanser mainly for one reason, it takes off my make-up like nothing else. I think most cleanser outright lie about the taking off the make-up part. Very few actually do. This one is extremely effective when it comes to taking off make-up. Besides that it is perfect for my slightly dry but on the whole normal skin. It leaves the skin fresh and radiant and overall makes a quite loveable cleanser. It does not foam but applies like a balm to be massaged gently on the face. Enriched with cocoa butter, rosemary and eucalyptus oil, it lives up to its natural active ingredients claim. One complaint, however, is the smell of the cleanser, it is somewhat offensive and strong for my easily annoyed nose. The exfoliation part is also nice, but I don’t like to use the muslin cloth all the time, only once every two days. But overall, I love this cleanser and I’m not just saying it. This was sent to me by the company for consideration, but I’m willing to buy it in the future once I run out of it.
Just some visual proof on exactly how well it takes off the make-up?
