Beauty’s Bad Habit shows gorgeous eyeshadow swatches of her first love in indie cosmetics, the fabulous Fyrinnae Cosmetics. You know that cooling sensation when you bite into a peppermint patty?  Essie Trophy Wife nail polish is a “perfect deep teal with a pearl” ($8 US/ 10.99 Cdn). It is actually more of a metallic teal than a pearl finish. I really like how it wore on my nails, the application was easy and the consistency of the polish is very agreeable; it applies smoothly and runs thin. Despite running thin, it is very pigmented and the color shows up within two coats, strictly. It is a very fall color, but… Read more »

After more than one and a half years of beauty blogging, I rarely ever come across something that just blows me away. Meet Sephora by OPI Traffic-Stopper Copper Top Coat ($9.50 US/$12 Cdn). When I first saw this, I thought glittery chunks of copper in clear polish, what can be so special? Wrong, was I ever W.R.O.N.G! It is actually the most beautiful top coat that spices up any plain old nail-polish. It is like the extra cheese on your… Read more »

Into The Wild is newest member of the signature collection of Bath & Body Works and has been out for a few months now. Into The Wild is a described as a “sensuous escape in to the jungle”. The scent is a blend of mandarin, lush petals and wild woods. It is definitely a bold scent and I cannot emphasize that enough. Definitely not for the shy by any means but at the same time very pleasant… Read more »

Yes, so if you read the title, you know that I can’t stop talking about MAC Chatterbox Lipstick (for all the good reasons, of course!). It is an amplified creme finish, which of course, means it is really opaque and creamy. Add to that, it is a bright red pink. But on my lips it translates into a perfect pink pout. It is also a lipstick which spells youth for me; perfect lipstick for those young one’s in high school… Read more »

Read a thorough and honest review of Sigma’s new eyeshadow palettes in Dare, Bare, and Flare at Handmade Reviews! At Musing on Beauty, Mariella has been trying the new Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation and reviews it in depth. Musicalhouses shows you summer’s hottest offering – Benefit Cha Cha Tint! The jury’s still out on whether a certain new lash curler looks incredibly intriguing or… incredibly gynaecological, but the real question is: are you ready to start a Revolution with Urban… Read more »

I’m missing one item out of this haul, namely a chamomile aromatherapy oil from The Body Shop, but the rest is for everyone to see. I also got a paddle hair brush (my second one!) and Tea Tree Oil from TBS. I stopped at Lush and picked up a soap and solid shampoo. I met with one horribly rude sales person who was like you should get this, this and that, I was like NOOO leave me alone lol. I… Read more »

Kareena Kapoor is my favorite Indian actress, hands down. I love her acting, style (Ok, when she is not decked up in Manish Malhotra) and make-up. I love her minimalist approach to everything and that’s why she rarely gets it wrong in the make-up department. At a recent launch for Sony Vaio, she came decked up in her minimal glamorista avatar. What’s not to love? To get her look, try the following products! Eyes MAC Painterly Paint Pot (to prime)… Read more »

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser ($24.50 US for 100 ml) is quite a unique cleanser. It is a balm like cleanser, which claims to remove make-up and polish, all in one. It claims to remove “all traces of face and eye make up,  even stubborn mascara”.  And then the part two includes polishing off the skin with the help of a muslin cloth (it comes with two), which takes off “dead skin cells and help reveal clean,… Read more »

Even though others may disagree with this, I would go ahead and declare myself a minimalist. No, really, I am. I just like to collect things but never actually use them. I’m a creature of comfort. I have almost 20 pairs of jeans, but you will always just find me in my trusted Lululemon Groove Pants. I may like plenty of things, but only actually love a handful. This is also the case with make-up, I own more make-up than… Read more »
