I have had this product for ages and since February is a make-up fast month for me (I broke the fast twice already, boo), I thought it would be a good idea to catch up on forgotten items that never got to make rounds of the reviewing table. If you read this blog, you know that I am obsessed with all things MAC and find it to be my ultimate make-up brand. Everything I pick up from MAC, I feel… Read more »

MAC Hug Me has to be my most favorite lipstick in the world. It is an unbelievably flattering nude pink lipstick with a glossy finish. MAC describes this as a “flesh pink” with a lustre finish. Lustre finish are my most favorite lipstick finish from MAC. It lives a glossy sheen to your lips, so you have the longevity of a lipstick and the shine of a gloss minus the stickyness. It is also very comfortable on the lips, no… Read more »

Annabelle Trio Eyeshadow in Creme Caramel ($7.50 Cdn) is a set of three earthy, everyday neutral shades. I think this trio will be universally flattering and highly usable by almost everyone. It makes up a perfect natural day look, which can be easily carried off by anyone. The eyeshadows are smooth, pigmented and blend easily. However, one little issue I had with the shadows is that they do need a primer underneath to last through the day. If worn without,… Read more »

Blitz & Glitz was my very first fluidline and I always found it to be some kind of gorgeous. It is a black with finely ground golden glitter, which gives you the perfect Egyptian inspired eyes. It is the equally pretty, but less popular sister of Blacktrack Fluidiline. Hmm I wonder if there is any sibling rivalry between these two? My thoughts? Extremely opaque, all day long lasting eyeliner. Love it for this. Once you master how to apply gel-liner,… Read more »

MAC Sur blush is described as a “dirty rose brown” and is a satin finish. It is possibly one of the most flattering shade of blush for Indian skin-tones. It applies smoothly and blends into the skin even easier. It is one of those effortlessly naturally pretty blushes that may seem rather blah in the pan, but translates quite beautifully on your cheeks. It is now my “go to” blush for work and meetings, along with MAC Coppertone and Benefit… Read more »

MAC Hot Gossip lipstick is described as a “mid-tone pinky plum” and it is a cremesheen finish. I find the description quite apt as it truly looks like what it is described as. It is more of a “cool tone” as well, making it quite difficult to work with for someone who has a warm undertone. I am not completely olive toned, but my skin is definitely on the warmer side of the spectrum. As much as this is a… Read more »

I had been putting off reviewing these eyeshadows for God knows what reason, but the time has finally come for me to review these for you. The eyeshadows I bought are Marvel, Rani and Saffron. I skipped Oomph because I already had a dupe for that shade and didn’t feel the reason to buy another one just because a certain Mr. Contractor came up with it (read: restraint =P). Marvel is described as a deep purple with a soft pink… Read more »

I had promised myself last year that from 2011, I’ll do a top 5 favorite list every month. Being the forgetful person that I am, it totally went past me, but I finally remembered. In this post, which will sometimes be a youtube video, I’ll talk about my five favorites/most used products of this past month. Dior DiorSkin Forever Compact Flawless & Moist Extreme Wear Makeup SPF 25. Whew, that’s one heck of a long name for a compact! I… Read more »
