I am in the process of growing out my hair. Well, I have been since the past one and a half years. I had one of those pixie cuts almost two years ago and within one week of doing so, I realized what I did! That’s right I cut off all my gorgeous long hair! I had no idea where to go from there, so after many months of looking like a hair disaster, I finally reached a respectable length. I have had many cuts in between and changed my style from choppy layers to only face framing layers. I still haven’t reached my desired length, which is till my waist. Therefore, in order to make my hair grow as fast as possible, I am resorting to all desperate measures, like not getting a hair cut every 6 weeks (I was addicted to getting hair-cuts), oiling my hair (it actually works!) and eating a healthier diet (ok, I didn’t really do that). I have currently not gotten a hair cut for the past three months and it is a personal record! Hair cuts are really important while growing out your hair, but the timing has to be just right, every two months is ideal. I am trying to extend this period, as I already have by abstaining from any heat styling. For instance, I don’t even blow-dry my hair! Not cutting my hair has taken a toll on the overall appearance of my hair though, lately it felt so dead with no volume or vitality. So a visit to LUSH and an inquiry on their hair masks was in order!
What did I find there? That’s right, Lush Jasmine and Henna Fluff-Eaze Hair Mask! In Lush’s very own words, it:
If your hair is a little fluffy, frizzy, dry or out-of-control, this is the one for you. It’s packed with copious amounts of moisturizing and nutrient-filled oils including organic jojoba, almond, brazil nut and extra virgin coconut oil. It works brilliantly on curly hair as well, as all the oils help define the curls and add loads of shine. The jasmine fragrance will stick with you for days after using it, so you’ll have irresistibly soft, shiny and sexy smelling locks.
What I thought: It definitely made my hair fuller, shinier, hydrated and boy, did my hair smell GOOD? Yes, yes – it definitely did! I have below the shoulder length and it lasts me a good 3-4 times. It costs $20.95, which means it is only an indulgence, not something I’d like my hair to get used to. Another thing is, you have to keep it on for at least 20 minutes and wash out your hair and carefully rinse it out.
The verdict: If you are looking for a nice pick me up for your hair, Lush Jasmin and Henna Fluff-Eaze is a nice indulgence.
