I had been wanting to review NARS Turkish Delight lip gloss for a while now. It is a pink sorbet which appears to be a rather milky pink to me. Wonder how it showed up on me?
This is how it shows up on my lips and I am not sure how to feel about it. Nothing special right? On its own it washes out my face and makes my pigmented lips stand out. Not what I expected from this gloss. On the other hand, however, it is one unique color. I didn’t want this color to just sulk in my make-up drawer, remaining unused.
|Worn with a clover pink lip liner.
I think this is best used as an “on top” gloss for someone like me who has pigmented lips. I used a natural pink lip-liner first to erase the darkness on my upper lip. It also looks great on top of Benefit’s Posie-tint. It is a nice gloss to create a special look with, but not something I’ll use for every day. But it was never worth spending $29 on. I’d rather find a cheaper drugstore dupe for such a hard to wear color. I won’t repurchase, but at the same time I have to wonder if I’ll ever run out of 0.28 ounces of this in the first place.
