I had been wanting to review NARS Turkish Delight lip gloss for a while now. It is a pink sorbet which appears to be a rather milky pink to me. Wonder how it showed up on me?

Dear DiorSkin Forever Compact Flawless & Moist Extreme Wear Make-up SPF 25,
Ever since you have entered my life, my skin is indeed flawless. Even though you are a powder, you are hydrating. Maybe it has much to do with that hydra-gel moisture-stabilizing system, that you cease to dry me out. I adore you for more ways than one. Maybe its the fact that you give me full coverage on the go or maybe it is the fact that you have a solid SPF 25 or maybe its just your unusually long name. Whatever it is, you have me completely smitten. Speaking of coverage, isn’t it inspired by the nano-textile technology to fit the skin perfectly? I love that you are transfer-resistant, so you can be mine and only mine. I’d hate to share you with my clothes, you know! Being water-proof means that even the dreaded humidity or rains can’t tear us apart. I know we are meant to be because you match my skin-tone perfectly (Honey Beige 040). I’m not superficial or anything, but the way I love you also has to do with your perfect exterior. That gorgeous navy case and the perfectly embedded “Dior” name embedded in gold made me fall for you instantly. I love that you hate bacteria as much as I do and that’s why you have a separate case for the sponge. But what I love the most about your exterior is that luxurious velvety pocket you come in.

Who is excited to watch Aisha? *Raises hands!*
Who is excited for this L’Oreal Aisha Collection? *Raises other hand*
Seriously, I am so, so excited for this movie. I am a total sucker for chick flicks. I have seen Legally Blonde at least a 100 times and usually talk out the dialogues along with all the characters. My most favorite dialogue is when Elle (Reese Witherspoon) reasons why Brooke Windham (Ali Larter) could possibly not have killed her husband because she is a fitness instructor. “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t go and shoot their husbands. They just don’t.” I guess you could say that every freaking bollywood movie is a chick flick, but they don’t cater to my inner girly girl like Aisha promises to do. I am not the biggest fan of L’oreal, but honestly, it is a shining star in the lonely cosmetics market in India. Sure MAC, Estee Lauder and Clinique are trying, but the stores are anything but crowded. I guess high-end cosmetics is an acquired taste, once you get into it, only then you know the real difference between high end and low end. It is a smart promotion strategy for L’oreal to come up with a collection for Sonam’s newest chick flick. I may just pick up the entire collection sans the whitening cream. What about you? Are you going to pick up anything from this collection?
Thank GOD for Tata Photon, I am now able to make posts from my laptop This means I’ll finally be able to make regular updates for the blog. These past four weeks have been rather eventful in my life and not so much for the blog. My heartfelt apologies to those who came in looking for a new post and left rather disappointed. Without further delay, let’s get down to business and talk about what we love best, make-up!
NARS Torrid holds a special place in my vanity kit and also in my heart. For one, it is my first ever NARS Blush and for two, it is a true shimmering coral. You know nothings picks up tanned summer skin better than corals.
Color description: Coral with shimmer.
Recommendation: If you are looking for a highly pigmented, pick me up coral blush, look no further than NARS Torrid. It is also a good substitute for those who cannot work NARS Orgasm Blush. Sure, it is a true coral as opposed to a peachy pink of Orgasm, but it gives you a similar glowing effect of Orgasm. In fact, I like to use it in summers when I am tanned and Orgasm looks less than natural.
First of all, I want to apologize for not updating as often as I would like to. If you came in looking for a new post, I am deeply sorry. I have been travelling within India, as well, making it difficult for me to take time to pay attention to the blog. Last week I traveled to Varanasi, Allahbad and Lucknow. It was exciting, but terribly exhausting at the same time. It’s so hot and humid in Delhi, I can barely wear any make-up. I have, however, found a couple of products that are heat/humidity friendly.
For my base, I avoid any liquid foundations. I have tanned so much that when I went to MAC, I was NC 43.5 (lol, yes they have a .5 system in India), which is 3.5 shades darker than my usual skin tone. In short, all my foundations make me look like a white wannabe – which is a definite no-no in my books. What works for me right now is my tinted moisturizer with a darker powder on top. I’m using Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer in Medium (review here) and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder in Medium Deep (review here) which is really dark on me, but balances out the lighter tinted moisturizer. For everyday, I avoid eyeshadows and strictly stick to my kohl liners. I’m using MAC Smolder eyeliner and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero. I just finish off with a simple nude lipgloss like MAC Nymphette. (swatches here) Besides that I am constantly reaching out for MAC Fix +, it is truly a blessing in this heat. What about you guys? How do you beat the heat?
