Caught by the paparazzi after a work-out, Freida Pinto looked absolutely stunning. She obviously was wearing make-up, so this prompts the question – what make-up is gym appropriate? Personally, I tend to go without make-up because I don’t want the sweat and the combination of make-up to clog my skin. There are, however, many safe ways to wear make-up while sweating it out. Also, the key is to keep everything minimal – just the basics are all you need for the gym.
For the base, I’d recommend something light-weight tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone. I recommend Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer. It is extremely light-weight and evens out skin with minimal color or cake. In addition to that, it has SPF 15. If you are not a tinted moisturizer kind of a gal, you can always wear powder mineral make-up. Mineral make-up is waterproof, so it won’t rub off or disappear with sweat. Something like Bare Escentuals bareMinerals SPF 15 Matte Foundation.
For eyes, the key again, is to keep it minimal. Just swipe one or two coats of a waterproof mascara, like Dior DiorShow Waterproof Mascara.
For lips use a tinted lip balm to keep your lips moisturized and have a soft sheen to them, as well. I am loving Korres’ Lip Butter in Mango these days.
